The Fleur-de-lis is a symbol often found in home decorating that ads a hint or majesty and formality.  The origin of this symbol is hard to pin-point as it predates written history and is believed to be a stylized version of the lily.  It's original use was very likely to symbolize French royalty and was used on the shield of Kink Louis VI or VII.  Use of the symbol eventually spread to English monarchy and eventually found its way into home decorations.

Fleur-de-lis are often accompanied by a diamond pattern in decorations.  This adds to the level of formality of the fleur-de-lis symbol in the design.  You can find the fleur-de-lis  and diamond patterns in wallpaper patterns, in fabric, and most especially in home accessories.

This Bergama Metal Wall Vase set is a perfect example of these symbols used in home decor.  These metal wall vases are adorned with elegant scroll work, fleur-de-lis finials, and a diamond design that is embellished in gold.  You can use these planters to display your floral arrangements or to add greenery to your room.  At 24" high and 21-1/2" high, these planters can be displayed together or apart.  These planters are very durable and can be used inside or outside as it resists rusting.
