A room is balanced when items are distributed evenly throughout a room versus having all of the major furnishings and décor on one side of the room. A sofa on one side of a room will balance an entertainment center on the other. A tall lamp on one side of a room can be balanced by a plant on the other side. A chair on one side of the sofa will make the room feel lopsided, but if you place a chair on the other side as well, the room will be more balanced.
You can also create a sense of balance in a room by decorating in duplicates. At a formal level you would place identical elements on each side of the room. For example, you might have two identical sofas facing each other. You also might place an identical mirror on each side of the door.
Speaking of mirrors, this Elbe Loop de Loop Contemporary Wall Mirror can be used to create a sense of balance in the room by putting it opposite a major element in the room to create a sense of balance by mirroring the image. You can also use two of these mirrors to create a sense of balance in a room by placing them on either end of a wall, or on opposite sides of a door or window.
The wall art mirror is a unique work of art in a bold abstract frame. It is quite large at 58” X 42” and will add height to a room where needed, or will balance a large decorative piece. You can add an extra decorative element to this window by placing a narrow vase with a floral arrangement on the shelf of this mirror.
